in Florida the was a man, named Karl, from Germany who fell in love with a young woman and when she passed away from sickness... this Doctor (X-Ray tech) Kept her body and tried to revive her...

He had her hooked up to tubes (for fluid circulation) and wires (electrical discharge) to keep her as "fresh" as he could while awaiting her revival .... at least he was preventing onset of decomposition...
He was later caught by authorities ... it was an older crime... so no charges... shortly after WWI...
H. P. Lovecraft was also in the area of Key West... at this same time... (Did they ever meet ??)
