A bit More with Frankenstein....

                                                Hello and Good Morning....

will try to get  a bit more rest in a bit...

Nothing like a bit of high voltage electricity to start your day....

Seems that Universal has pulled all clips of this 85 year old film... so much for 50 years till a "Copyright" ends.... all thanks to that moron in office and his damned CAS ....
Above is a tribute to the make-up design of Jack Pierce... enjoy....

More Universal Classic Movie Monsters to come....

.... we will begin on their (1931) "Dracula" later... as performed by the great Bela Lugosi....
But the "Frankenstein's Monster" has come to be Universal's Best known and most popular "Movie Monster"... and Jack Pierce's make-up design for Boris Karloff ("neck-bolts" and flat head...) Thus this "Creature" has become world renowned an easily recognized "Monster" , recognizable by young and old the world over....

The old Frankenstein Monster (or Skeleton) were ordered from a comic book and hung upon the inside of kids rooms in the early 70's...Classic Movie Monsters

Universal's First Movie Monster....

though some would claim his "Quasimodo" as one as well, Lon Chaney's "Phantom of the Opera" was their First big monster ("Mon-Star"...???)
the "unmasking"scene really scared many movie-goers....

He went to great lengths to obtain the right "look" for the role....

the "Man of a Thousand Faces"....

Went to Bed Much Earlier....

                                                           and still cannot Sleep...
kept on waking up ... now Awake at 6:00am, with No chance of More Rest for now...
even took a nerve pill ( my med with an added Sleep ingredient) cannot take Valium or Zanex they will knock me out ... Last time it put me into a long sleep that lasted well over 40 hours... that is a bit too Much sleep....

Hope that you good folks are well this Monday (and first day of the Month)....

Been at Spore most of the weekend... Learned even more about the many aspects of game-play in this wonderful Universe.... And these "Adventurers" Reminds me of writing up games for D&D... and then can change a few "elements" of that Game , and have an New game.... cool... making at least several parts of a much longer story-line... so the "possibilities" are limitless....

And more of "Monday's Monster" ... sorry that Life situations got in the way of late...
... those "problems" should be over , for now.... And many other issues to worry over remain... but, we are in much better spirits than usual.... so we take what "good" that we can and try to enjoy...

Probably going with the Universal Monsters for this month...
They tend to be the most recognizable to people...

And having Not gotten last Monday's Monster posts done ... we will have a bit more on one of my Favorite Monsters... "Poor Erik" (as the Author would often say insisting that He was a Real Person dwelling in the deep passages far below the grand Paris opera house...)  So maybe the Phantom of the Opera was a bit more Real than we believed...

My Favorite Universal Monster.....

Lon Cahney's performance ( and Awesome make-up) made this popular French Novel into a Film Classic....!!! ....The Phantom of the Opera....!!!!

                                                       The old silent classic...

Lon Chaney's extensive ( and very "uncomfortable") make up really brought this Character to Life...

Lon Chaney..... the "Man of a 1000 Faces"....!!!!

actually a very Tragic "Love Story"....

he abducts his "lady Love"...and takes her to his Lair... only to be "rejected" by her....

his horrible visage terrified many a movie goer back in his days....

far below the grand Paris Opera House he plays at the keyboard.....

                                              the Basil Gogos Painting....

                                                  A truly Great "Movie Monster"....

                                                and the Famous "Unmasking" scene....
"Feast your eyes... Glut your soul , on my accursed ugliness"....

Make-up Artist Rick Baker did a great rendition of this Classic Monster....
