A Favorite Film .... (with Soundtrack)...

 
                        From the time the little girl comes walking about in total Shock..
  
"Them" was a film we have enjoyed since that first time we saw it one Saturday afternoon on TV...

                                              There was no escape from THEM...

Sorry... Not at Our Best Today...

Had to be in Monroe this morning to have my two remaining teeth extracted.... so in pain for now.

                known only by their sounds in the desert winds... and by their "Smell"...

                                              She survived by hiding in a cabinet...
                        We begin with a little girl walking in shock through the desert...

                             While investigating... they run across these Giant Ants.....

A very well made "giant Monster" film of the 50's...!!!

                                         A great fun film (especially for a kid)...!!!

       one of my favorite films as a small kid... loved to see this one on some Saturday afternoons....

                                 The nest of Them in the Desert was only the beginning....

                            Bones of the missing persons were found by their nest...

                                              even the missing cop...

                             A fun little tune about these old films... "Creepy Creatures"...

Some escaped from the destruction of their nest... including two "egg-laying" Queens !!!

                                        This poor guy found out a bit too late about these Ants...


       Finally found again... trying to establish a new nest in the large sewer system of LA...
 

And the military burned them all... Thus saving the human race from ants... (did not even have to use Raid... (their flame-throwers worked quite well...)

A to Z... "T"...

                     Giant Ants in the desert... we remember this film well as a kid !!!

                                                       Aim for their antenna....

A bit of Advice...

     Fire Ant stings.... apply vinegar immediately to area of stings (thus preventing  the  "blistering" of the effected area...) We have been stung several times (and one unpleasant fall) having to turn the water on and off at the meter... The meter unit is infested with these vile ants...

                                            Still... could be worse.....
 

We have But a Few Films Stored on My Computer

was thinking of just sitting back and enjoy a movie... but, what... Then while going over the posts of our newest Follower (and his great blog "Radiation Cinema"...) We found a great idea of which one ... the Giant Ants...!!! we always enjoyed this one ....

              Saw this on Saturday afternoon as a kid and have loved this film ever since...

So this is posted for the "learning" purposes (according to the "fair use" policy passed back in 1976....
... Take That , CAS....!!!) not just to entertain but to inform as well.... nice "loop-hole"....

We wish for others to know of this this enjoyable film, and this was the First "Giant Bug" film... about Atomic Radiation causing "problems".....

We Loved Giant Monster Movies As a Kid...

                                    This was one that actually scared me as a kid....
