A Bit More Lovecraft....

Call of Cthulhu was the first H.P. Lovecraft story that I read as a kid....

                                                            Such great stories.....

                                                          A bit from Mr. Lovecraft.....

                                                               Poor Tillingast......

Just Remembered That Today is H. P. Lovecraft Day...!!!

Today marks the anniversary of the death of this great creative author......

It was him who gave us the Great Cthulhu and ...the Old Ones...!!!

                                                 More Lovecraft later Kiddies....

Today' Dungeons and Dragon....

What was the first non-D&D  game that we played....
Though we had incorporated some elements of the "Chill" gaming system into our game ...."Call of Cthulhu" was the first non D&D game that we ran.... I enjoyed it ... the players got "upset" at the many "sub-plots" involved.... it ended badly ... the one detective ... became a drunk at a local bar ..."critters" got another two... and the other went insane and was later snatched between the bars of her padded room by a living shadow.... No one wanted to play again....
Before D&D... in early high school... the "Micro-Game" Chitin:I..."the Harvest Wars" I really enjoyed... ( though mostly only played on my own to keep myself "amused")

Another Really Cool Cthulhu Blog....!!!

A really cool blog is called "Propinomicon".... there are displayed "Lovecraft" inspired works of art and other "interesting" things....

And the little "idol" described in the story of "the Call of Cthulhu"

I really like this Cthulhu Tablet.... Awesome piece....

Really Cool piece of twisted art....

                                                                 All for Great Cthulhu....!!!!

May Monster... Cthulhu....

We give the "Audio Book" of this first Cthulhu story that we ever read ... it is a bit long...

We hope that you will enjoy this tale ... and maybe even read some of these tales of the Great Old Ones for yourself....

Today's "May Monster" ....The Great Cthulhu....

My first exposure to this great "beastie" came as a young teen ... I checked out a book of short stories ( "The Call of Cthulhu, and Others" printed in 1957)...Thus Stacey was introduced to the twisted world of the great Author ...H.P. Lovecraft...!!!!

This was the image on the cover of that book....

His sunken city of Relyth

The short story told of great Cthulhu who lies at the bottom of the sea ...there He lies dead and dreaming ....waiting for the day that his sunken city shall rise up from beneath the waters .... when he will awaken and rise up to eat us all....
