Been Looking At Old Toys....

 
                                            Some things from my Past.....

                

 

This was one of my favorite as a small child ....

                                                     These got a Lot of play too.....
                             All were Christmas Presents that we fondly remember.....

The Phantom of the Opera (1925)...

I have my own  version of Lon Chaney's "Red Death" 1/6 scale figure ( Found a great deal on the "outfit" on E-bay...)... I used the "Sideshow" "Lead Gentleman" figure ( from "Buffy")... and the staff belonged to the mid 70's "Wizard of Oz" Witch...

                                                  I made my own version of his "Mask" as well...

This was an "Image" from my early childhood.... and I could Not afford to purchase it... I "arranged" myself One.... Just like we will do with our "Green Ghost Game"....

We got the "Pieces" for Christmas....

                                        Oh Well, .... Back to "Erik"...."the Phantom"....As I Stated ... the "Masque of the Red Death" was one of the earliest "Horror images that really "Stuck" with us....

With "glow" parts added...

Well We decided What We are Getting Stacey for Christmas...

Well it will Not be quite what he wanted but as close as I could get with my limited financial resources...
                                    Stacey really wanted this piece of  his early childhood

the "Tree" was one of my favorite toys as a small child ...and My "Ghost Family"

 So on E-Bay... we found ( at a very low price the Three "doors" and the Three 'stand-up" pieces ( the Tree, shown above... the Haunted House and the Shipwreck) ..... Maybe he can make a copy of this game...

From this image of the game board , we should be able to make him one ...then add the newly acquired pieces.... Thus an attempt to give Stacey something to lift his spirits...
The "Ghost Spinner" is well out of our price range... and the complete game runs about $200.oo...

Somewhere around here there are a few of these little "ghosts" from the game he owned as a child....
Do Not remember the purpose of the "ghosts"... the boxes beneath the game board (Each covered by one of the three doors ... they contained :.... "Bat Feathers" , Bones.. ( small black plastic pieces).. and the "Pit of Snakes(Lengths of rubber bands) and after you open the door you reach into the darkness of the hole... creepy in the dark to a small child...

Story Time.....

                       Hello kiddies.... and now an older tale about revenge from beyond the grave......
 this tale is called "the Dead Speak"..... Thanks to the older posts of "the Horrors of It All"

                  He did indeed pick the wrong grave...... Talk about getting "buried" in your work.....
