Wow... Snow... !!!

                              
                           something we seldom see in the lower rural South...!!

            not sticking to roads well... ground, trees and else covered.... looks "peaceful"
                             

Snow....

                                                          Seldom seen around here...
                                                          a bit of ground coverage...

                                                  A Lot (for around Marshville)...
                           
                                        End of Feb (2 years ago) was our last bit...

The Coming Winter Storm is Looking Worse....

                    
a bit "slow-moving" as well... When this (upper atmosphere) warmer air mass (mostly severe thunderstorms) reaches the much colder air that has settled over this area ... the storm will force the colder air above the cold air (at ground level) down upon us thus turning the rain to Snow....
 
                               We seldom ever get much of any Snow here....
                                    So should be a cold snowy night for us....
and there will be "power-outages"... and my town is further down Duke Power's "list" , well after the "secondary areas to be restored first... ... thus, No power... No Heat....
                        

Its Snowing Some More....

                                      This is an area that seldom sees any snowfall....
                                                  Something different for here....
          supposed to continue for the day... doubt that there will be any "accumulation"....

Woke Up to Snow....

                                              Here Casper has just awakened for the day.....
                                         Not enough to build a Snowman... But, Snow......
                                                 A seldom seen sight in these parts....

                                    Yawning , to shake off the Sleep...
                                            Have to get poor "Casper" inside shortly....
                   Last night's temps were not as cold as lately ... so we left my dog outside...

            A very light snowfall at present.... May mostly melt by lunchtime.... may not....
           We just thought that we would share this "rare sight" with you good Viewers....

Hello from the Cold South...

               
                       Yes,... the most Snow accumulation around here in years....!!!
I will see about building "snowman" later ... right now trying to just stay "warm" .... it is rather cold inside my home ....

            They are calling for Snow ...with accumulation... and a "Wintery Mix"...
                                               Got my dog inside as well...

                                      We often loose power during these messes....

            Most of the ground is still white for now ...(due to temps in the low 20's...)
                                Sorry our "health" not at its best today....
Just put my dog back outside ... the whole way he kept stopping and smelling the snow...
                       
                                finally having my first cup of Coffee for the day as well...
                        it is rather cold in here so my coffee does not stay "hot" for very long....

                         Have spent very little time on-line for a couple of days....
                 
Just found out that two days ago was the 40th anniversary of the release of the role playing game Dungeons and Dragons ( the D&D Posts will start back in a few days to celebrate this great game....)

Snow is almost Here....!!! ( we seldom ever get ANY Snow.... all it will be is a light coating of "white" over the area by morning and will melt away quickly as the Sun comes up...)
 
                                 But just "something" a bit different around here....

A Cold Day in Hell...

                       
                             Looks like I don't get to build a snowman here....
       
                 Just a few miles north of here has been getting snow and later "mix" ....
Judging by current radar, we are about to receive A "Nasty Ice-Storm" any time now....

I would have liked to have seen him emerge from a melting snowman in my front yard....

                 We seldom ever get much of any snow... normally just ice-storms....
Too bad ... I would like to place my plastic skeleton inside of a snowman and watch  its progress of melting ...

  I did so a bit over ten years ago using a "cheap" plastic skeleton and an old "corpse" mask....
A lot of people would slow down to better look at it as the skeletal body began to emerge from  inside of the snowman....
