Pumpkin Patch.... Final Update....

Though it had reached about twice the size of it pictured above....
The moths had gotten to the plants two are dying off ... and the damage was too bad to fix by the time we found signs of the larvae infesting these plants....
... and our Health will not be up to trying again next year.... So another (Last attempt) season without growing Pumpkins ... did have a great year of growing back in 2011.... but have failed to have much success since... though we did Try... Now we will just have a nice collection of "rocks"....

  2. We did at least "try", good Sir....
Health (in this Hot weather) is preventing me from doing All that we need to get done....
can only work at something for short periods before our breathing gets worse and for just a bit of being up and doing things.... then takes about half an hour...(sometimes longer till I can stand back up with my sense of "balance" and repeated Yawning and "light-headed, from lack of oxygen to the brain....
... and health will have worsened by next year ,.... meaning that we will never be able to attempt another pumpkin patch.... it did give us something to which to look forward....
We will just buy a pumpkin or two come October....

    1. Happened to them before.... there is a "Method" to stop their damage..... take a small straight pin and poke it through the effected area (and a bit past it as well (holes 1/4 to 1/3 of an inch apart... the vine will heal from this ... the Larvae will Not)
but the damage was far too extensive to use this method...
Hope that you are having a Great Summer , dear Lady Debra...
