Young Ernest Fairchild was an abused boy with no friends ... an outcast even....
Then he met Lady Death in a "dream induced" state....
So he returned home and killed his abusive parents and proceeded to kill off his entire neighborhood... house by house.... Then he was caught and confined....
That is where the "Nero-Tech" device comes into things .... When it was used upon him
.... things went "badly" and poor Ernie "exploded".....
He was thought to be dead... And thus was Evil Ernie created.....
I've never heard of Evil Ernie - he looks like he's quite the villain. I could have forgiven him for his abusive parents, but his whole neighbourhood is going a bit far! Exploding doesn't sound like a nice way to go.

The neighbors All knew of his abuse (and since his parents owned the mill , where they All worked... No one dared "speak up... so they allowed poof Ernie to suffer... and just "look the other way"...
