In England, back in 1605, something "Bad" almost occurred.....
A small group of men, all of whom were "fed up" with the British Government, decided to do "something" about it...... They tried to blow up Parliament their political "center" of this world power.... Of these men , they captured Guy Fawkes one of the conspirators .....
He was found Guilty of "high treason" and was executed.....
A "hero" to some (for standing up to the "oppressive Government System") .... but to most his actions were (and are,) that he was a vile terrorist of the highest order.....
Tonight there will be bonfires and fireworks to celebrate the day of his death.....
in more recent times the film "V for Vendetta" they made a more "iconic" image of this infamous man....
and thanks to Cubee-Craft you can make yourself a little "Guy" to admire or to burn....
ReplyDeleteIt is incredibly ironic that Guy Fawkes has turned into some symbol of freedom and fighting oppression. His actual goal in trying to blow up Parliament was to institute a Catholic dictatorship and kill all the Protestants...
