We had a couple of accidents this morning......
First the front screen door got me ...the "latch" (which had caught me by my jacket on Monday ) caught in the much smaller (then) hole that it had made with Monday's accident (it only slammed me up-side of the house)... This time it caught me and snatched me back up against the door facing .... in the process the screen door was pushed shut by my having been forceably snatched back .... it grabbed ( pinched together) a bit of the back of my jacket , thus wedging it "shut tight".... so there I am at a bit after 5:00am with my shoulders pinned to the side of the house it took about a minute of haplessly flailing against the door front to free myself... (This also had slammed the back of my head against the door frame)
Then a couple of hours later when my ride for my doctor appointment showed up .... I stepped out the back door to tell them to wait a moment and then turned to open the door and step back inside ... The Door "stuck" and we slammed our right side of my body into the now "stuck" Door.... ( some swelling of the shoulder and bruising of my hip... and that entire side of my body is now sore...) in the process my actions ripped off a good sized chunk of the door facing on the other side of the door...
Note, ....the entire door frame has over time been pulled away from the side of the house by having over time repeatedly grabbing my belt loop of my jeans (often slamming me down upon the washing machine on the back porch). So , now the entire door frame has separated from the door facing by 3 or 4 inches... Thus this gap made the door itself catch on its inside door facing...
... Always remember that "Shit Happens"....
Still not as bad as that time that a woman in too much of a rush caught my head (by the neck) and one arm in a revolving door and after shoving at the now stuck door ... and her horrified look upon her face when she realized that she was crushing my neck in the door.... ... ( all I had done was turn to look at the news crew filming a segment to my right... as I reached for the door the woman pushed the revolving door , thus, pinning my neck and arm between the door and door frame.... )
Moral.... Beware of Doors...!!!
