the term "Easter" comes from the Babylonian "Feast of Ishtar"... a Spring celebration...
... about 4,000 years before Christ... Ishtar (earlier Sumerian name Inanna) was slain and her flayed skin hung upon the Tree of Life in the Underworld.. three days later she was  resurrected back to life on Earth... (story sound "familiar"... to celebrate they would have their early Spring Feast in her Honor....  After  Christ... the followers of God used this Feast as a way to convince the non-Christians to convert... "see,... We have the same Holy Day"... So you are paying Homage to an ancient Goddess  of Babylon....

At Spore.com the new Skeleton we posted is on "Most Popular New" List...  My Dad still in Hospital... says he's doing well.... they cannot stabilize his blood-sugar and lower his blood-pressure at the same time... so we are told.....
Messed with some of the Characters in my Sims game-world.... Mostly Spore though,....
                                 Been running a Captain (Boba Fett) to get equipment....

Worked him up to 5th level (as Jango Fett) then, made a second-generation (to start off with First's Equipment) and worked (Boba Fett) up to Sixth level Captain today...
   

             Till we can obtain any Expansion Packs... my Sims are very "limited" in "what" they can do...
painting Portraits or "still-lifes" are about it ... (they can make foods, toys robotics or flower arrangements)...

                            have slowly built up a usable Downloads Folder for my Sims2...

                          at least have some items to "flesh-out" the details of their homes...

Working on a Green Slime Adventure...

                                          Odd-looking (and "moving") creature fore Spore...

for posting at Spore.com.... Made a "maturing" (with "electrical" attack) and Young (just forming) versions of this Movie monster to represent the varying "growth-stages" of the Creature in my game-world.... (while trying to keep "true to the movie")

                                                Loved these hideous Aliens since early childhood....

My Sister came to town to buy me another small Heater (Hardware Store Only place here with heaters)... ... also "Comfort Zone" Brand... (only thing that they carried....
 
 
             

Disaster Halted....

                    
Lucky for me that we decided to wait about 1/2 an hour longer before laying down for the night...

                      Careful if you own one of these (comfort Zone) heaters, Folks...!!!
                  Suddenly Smoke.... the heater beside of me had just caught Fire !!!!
            set a small fire to carpet... melted cord... (even two small flickering flames...)
Quickly unplugged it All... cord smoked for another few minutes... Now no Heat... and high for tomorrow will be in the 40's... (same Sunday,  but rains as well).... had to get an extra blanket...
            Maybe warmer temps soon to come... till then we will just sit wrapped in a blanket...

Sorry for the grim tone of the last post... things not so good... and not "holding together" very well either...  the last few weeks have gotten to us a bit worse... Things just kept adding to the "mess" that was... some of which are much worse now and the "influences" from others, as well have more than put us on edge...

Must admit... thought has been rather common of late.... (and they seldom dig graves "six feet" these days... 4 & 1/2 to 5 feet normally) Hey we are an accused "Body-Snatcher"... we should know these things).... Hope to retain our "sense of humor" through this....
