A lot of the places we went to as Family Vacation are sadly no longer there....
A little clip tossed in to see if you are still awake.....
and many of you are planing Family Vacation "get-aways" ......
                                               That is camping in "comfort"....
reminds us of a song (by the Go-Go's) .....
Whatever you are planing for this Summer we wish you and yours a safe one.....

Mickey prepares for this Summer's visitors....
and for those of you going to Disney.... beware of the "Mouse"....

Our Most Popular Monsters Here at the "Crypt"....

We will Start off with the classic (1922) "Nosferatu"....
                      https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvRgJjfShhmv2D8lEjLhSt-2LkmfY_hb6JpbxnRjmon-G7pzYvQyD19i2PsDcCDgEFcccQWEmYsywSTA2vM40tbI80EXBoxChRUaetDWdMXmO3C1zBIe5WRo63yh6Ivkdxkhau2zs_Uvk/s640/tumblr_lrhwqpbHAH1ql6jzco2_500.jpg
This film was a basically a "Rip-off" of Stoker's popular novel of the day (which first appeared in book shops in England in May of 1897....) So the film-maker , Murnau changed the characters names and the settings....

So Stoker's Widow went to the "High Courts" and demanded that the film be removed and payments made to her for use of her husband's novel.......

Judges ordered the destruction of All copies of this film were to be destroyed..... Most were.... But a few people refused to burn their copies.... Thus this classic was saved from being Lost forever....
Added Soundtrack and re-released in the late 1920's...

the tale begins with the "hero" being sent to sell a piece of property to Count Dracula....(Graf Orlock)

This creepy Count (Graf) Reads over the letter of strange markings.....

Later the Vampire enters his room that night.....
This was one of the first really Scary scenes to appear in a film....!!!!

                                          Even his movements were "creepy"....

This little clip show a bit of "how" this Vampyre moved about....

So the Vampyre makes his way to his new Home by way of Ship.....

One of my favorite Monsters since early childhood...
The scenes of him walking the city streets carrying his casket....  They always kind of "creeped" me out as a kid....

Leaving the wreck of the ship with his other "crates" of his native soil... and Plague of rats behind...

He sits in the courtyard of his new home (probably "tired" after carrying that crate of dirt....)
There were many well filmed scenes to "creep" you out....

And here he looks at the view from his new lair.....

Nosferatu was also the first vampire to be destroyed by Sunlight.....

We will post more in a bit ... do not feel so well.. and have a few things that I must do as well...

And a happy last day of May to you All....
