More with Today's May Monster...
Those wonderfully devised deaths (based on the "Plagues of ancient Egypt")
To avenge the death of his lovely wife and slay those he held "responsible" , the Doctors...
First he used Bats...
Actually the Detective tells of a similar death of "Boils" from Bee stings... Well on to the Next cleverly concocted Murder....
The Curse of Frogs was done with a rigged Frog mask...
And poor Terry Thomas, he was strapped to his chair and Phibes extracted all of his Blood
Then the curse of "Rats" unleashed upon the pilot of a small plane.
He, of course Crashes...
And Dr. Phibes goes on to commit even More "Bizarre" Murders...
Like the curse of "Hail" Froze the poor guy in the back of his car...
Special preparations were needed for the Nurse...
Using the curse of "Locusts" (This was one that we enjoyed as a kid)
Under Police guard in the Hospital, She slept through it All, with the help of sedatives.
And for the Curse of "Beasts" the other Doctor was being escorted out by police... And a brass Unicorn head is launched from across the street, impaling him.
The remaining Doctor, under Police protection, receives a call from Phibes...
For "Death of the First Born" Dr. Phibes has abducted his Son...
And he is forced to perform a similar Operation (Like that which Phibes' Wife had died) to save him.
Phibes has prepared an operating room Thus the Doctor will have "limited time" to Save his Son...
And Phibes releases the slow-flowing Acid ...
Dr. Phibes tells him to "hurry"or his son will have a "Face" like Him....
As the doctor finishes up removing the key to free his son
Phibes makes his "Exit"
The Final Curse of "Darkness" he has reserved for him and his Wife...

ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous post, Stacey...There's never been anyone like Vincent Price..and never will again. Such an awesome actor....
ReplyDeletethis was a role that he had "Fun" with, as he would often reminisce to others when asked about his long career. The final scene in this film inspired the idea of "Saw", quoted the film-maker.
