Sorry About That....

The Dungeons and Dragons posts ( which I posted last month) are a couple days off....
The Question for Feb. 2nd ...was who was the first person that I introduced to this great Game....

For this one we go back to early 1986... at the "work-release Jail" ( where I spent the last couple of months of my time for bank robbery)   Met up with Steve ( been good friends all these years since as well...).... I based his Character off of the barbarian-warrior in the Eerie Comics of my early youth....
"Dax, the Warrior".... He called himself "Death Stalker"....  And another friend there played the Thief/ Warrior.... For "Dax" to learn facts of his Past took months of gaming too....

They really got into their "Characters" and we had some lead figures (Ral Partha)... and some dice ... we accumulated the Books bit by bit as we went on... The "Dungeon Master's Guide" was our First Book... They bought the "Player's Handbook" later
Up till we began to play D&D... all they had to do for "enjoyment" was playing "Spades" with others there....
The Gaming "System" that we started out with slowly evolved into a game which eventually became actual D&D Rules...

And to help this low level group out ... we added our Character..."the Phantom"...( a skeletal Mage) to help out a bit ....and these few characters went on to reach greatness in the game universe.... But more on that Later....
