The Monster That Came Ashore in 1896....

Also feeling Much better with that extra Three hours of Sleep....

Hope that you all are well today.....
Knew that there was something that we were forgetting....
A month from now... Remember to "Hug a "Cephalopod"

Someone was looking For.... "Giant Octopus" (1896)... this one I remembered from Childhood...
It washed ashore at St. Augustine in the Late 1800's... and a show that we watched a few years ago had scientist studying (preserved tissue samples" of) this Large creature....  we were heavy into the research of Sea and Lake Monsters as a kid This one we do remember having read...
very few images of this monstrosity....

The thing was the size of a giant Squid... making it the Largest Octopus ever recorded....
A perfect thing to end Summer at the Beach...
Even found an You Tube clip to accompany this post....

    2. There is a website about the Lake Norman monster that is kind of interesting although I don't really think there is much in that (man made) lake beside huge catfish. Still interesting to have one in state.

    3. A good Friend of mine refuses to fish there any longer... a Catfish (nearly the size of his fishing boat) partially surfaced as it hit his boat...
he will no longer swim there either...
