As we said ... We got to attend a performance of Sweeney Todd last Night.....!!!!
This talented small Performance Troupe gave a great performance.... (as the flyer states it was a "Shadowcast Production"...the set consisted of just the minimal amount of props... thus even more acting from these wonderful actors....
Here is Mr. Todd (Chris Helms) and "the Pie Lady" (Mona Bailey) singing "Little Priest..."
The small production was held at the community building of the place where this county's "Halloween Corn Maze" is held each year....
as you can see .... a rather "rural" theater setting... So I was free to move about to view the actors scenes from many different angles |
They had the Movie itself showing on a screen while they re-created each of the scenes in the film....
Here is the contest against "Pirelli" ( Braiden Hanibal)
And here we have Mr. Todd stuffing Pirreli's body into a container...
A very enjoyable night for Stacey Kiddies.... We actually had "Fun"... and that does Not happen very often....and the performers were such wonderful and talented people...!!!
Due to a "last minute" change ...One poor guy ( Who is also a talented musician) Had to play the part of "Joanna" ( Zak Russell) with the "Judge" ( Nick Sweet).... on a side note ... Due to a couple of the actors not being able to attend ....... the part of the Judge's henchman "the Beetle" was done by a puppet
....!!! You see the Troupe-Leader (Chris Helms ) is an expert at making "Muppet style puppets.... )
And most of Sweeney's "victims" were puppets as well... All in all it was very enjoyable...!!!
The only actual "Blood" was poor Sweeney himself.... |
And a Great job she did ...even her "creepy graceful movements"...
Toby.... as played by Kelsey Millett
And as Joanna's "True love"....Danny Ruhland....
A Great performance and Great People as well
We have thanked All of the Good people who sent us the images and "Sweeney Todd" ( Chris Helms) .... for lifting our spirits and for the info contained in these posts...
