From My Childhood...

A small plastic figure... ( one of my most prized possessions... ) Meet "Grumble"....
He is one of the "Freekies" (Cereal named the same)...
A small squat toad-like thing... Got him from a box of cereal as  a young kid...
this little figure sits atop my computer... he was made in the early 70's...
was even in my pocket when we were arrested (back in 84") at the Federal Mental Facility ... He sat in my window  while I was there...
here he is with the other "Freakies"... A sugary corn cereal (much like Quisp) ... liked the Tentacles of the one called "Hamhose"... (had that figure too)

and a (back of the box) cut-out "Flier" of Grumble... there were items of these creatures as a "prize" in each box... so we ate this cereal every morning for years... (similar to Capt.Crunch)
We  even still have this magnet... We do like our Grumble...

  1. Not really worth much but still a thing that we like to have sitting here... just looking at him can often lift our spirits (even if only a bit) ... Just a little piece from my early childhood...

  2. I have a Boss Moss! We did not eat freakies often just the once that I can remember.

  3. Yes I like Coco Puffs too. And Quisp and Quake, Lucky Charms, Rice Krispies, Coco Krispies, Frosted Flakes, Fruit Loops, Trix and of all strange things, Bran Flakes!

  4. Awwww mane, Grubble got caught up with you! Sounds like a bad influence but true friend. Went down with you and didn't snitch. Lol
That is too cool! They no longer make toys in cereal, I miss it so much..
