A Bit of Background on Today's "May Monster"....

The original story of the Phantom ("Erik"), was written in 1920 by French Author Gaston Luroux....
                          .....The author claims that the "Phantom was a Real person....
Christine Daa'e is the young want to be Star.... Her father , a "fiddler" had told little Christine of an "Angel of Music" ( the "personification" of the spirit of Music).... She was eventually given a position in the chorus of the Paris Opera House...

 
          She begins to hear a beautiful and unearthly voice that sings to her and speaks to her......

She believes him to be "the Angel of Music" having come to her... and asks him if that is who he is......

                    .....The "Voice" agrees and offers to teach er a "Bit of Heaven's Music"......

The "Voice" , however belongs to "Erik"....a physically deformed ...mentally deranged Musical Genius ...!!!
                        
Erik was one of the architects who took part in the construction of this great Opera House.... ( So he knows the "lay-out" like the back of his hand... as well as All secret passages...!!!)

                                              He is madly in love with the fair Christine...

 And has been extorting money from the theater owners for years....   Around the Opera house he is known as the "Opera Ghost".....
