    Holiday Feast...?? ... The best "Gut-Cracker" we know of was in  Alien (1979)....

             Spent several weeks of Summer vacation watching this film ("Alien" 1979) as a teen

                                 Brett's death was the view we got of the adult Monster...

                                                 The cat "Jones", sees it behind Brett...

                                                   Then he turns around and sees it...

 
                                                            Another good clip....

                                             Love the shots of the Monster in this one...

A bit from the Favorite Film of My Youth....

              

                     Watched 21 times in the theater (back in 1979)... Loved the opening Sounds...

                                               A lot of trouble to activate the sequence....
                                      And rather a problem to stop problem once initiated...

Happy "Alien Day" 2017 !!!

             This film (and its "Monster") was a big influence upon my later teens !!!

                                 Who could forget the "Chest-Burster" scene ???
 
                     or H. R. Giger's "Monster" he created for this great sci-fi / horror film !!!
              
                                 Even its secondary set of extendable teeth...!!!

              And with "Aliens" (1986), Stan Winston created the iconic Alien Queen...!!!!
              

Working on that Spore Adventure....

    More of a "Haunted House/ Monster Movie than most of the Sci-Fi films up till then
 
(Note: the low-budget film of the 50's "It , the Terror from Beyond Space" with Ray Corrigan was a similar tale of being Trapped on a spaceship while stalked by a Monster) But, Dan O' Bannon and Ridley Scott made a truly terrifying and exiting roller-coaster ride of a Film....


                               This Movie Monster is called by fans a "Xenomorph"...
