Mr. Poe...

                  
                                           it was on October 7th that Mr. Poe died as well....
                          
                   Running a bit of my game-world (before have to delete it All...)

Remember Mr. Poe....

                                     
                                    It was  on October the 7th that he died in Baltimore...
                      
A truly great author... he left behind many works of fear and horror for his many fans ... and they are still enjoyed long after his Death....
                         
He was traveling North to visit Family ... and never made there.... he was found in poor  shape in the gutters of Baltimore... he later passed at the hospital...
                
                       Having died on the 7th... he was buried two days later...
              Years later he was exhumed and re-buried at his final resting place....

Happy Birthday Mr. Poe...!!!

                           
                                  Yes today is the birthday of this great Author...

                    A happy Birthday from all of those readers to whom you gave nightmares....

                                            That quote has stuck in my head since early childhood...
A collection of his poems and short stories was the first classic Horror that we had read as a small child...   This was my first exposure to "classic" Horror... ( we had seen horror movies on TV)...
                           
He had a wonderful writing style as well... and seldom gave himself credit for his great talent...

                 January 19th is the day that the great Edgar Allen Poe was Born...!!!
                     
A great Horror author (one of the First) , who never received his due "recognition" till after his sad death...Found in the gutters of Baltimore... he was traveling North to See Family .. and never made it there...  and was found in very poor shape far south of his destination...
