A Little Something about Stacey
When I went to the Hospital a few years back.... This was when I was informed of my condition being "Terminal"..... My reaction was "unexpected"...(To say the Least).... well I started "laughing"...and could not quit... And when I saw the look on the face of the Nurse ...I began to laugh even more ....by now I am having "coughing fits"...( They are Much Worse lately).... and was laughing so hard , that I fell backwards off of the examination stool upon which I was seated ....I hit the floor with a solid "splat" sound which made me laugh even more... By now the look on the Nurse's face had turned into one "Horrified Look".... That made me laugh Harder ..By now the coughing has me a bright shade of red as to orderlies picked me up off of the floor....
About this time my New case worker...comes walking onto the scene...( She had only been my case worker for a couple of weeks ... she replaced my case worker who had committed Suicide a couple of weeks earlier....)

Not quite the "proper" response to being told "You are Dying, Sir"....
ReplyDeleteI think that this is when I realized just what an "Awful Joke" Life really is....
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about it, but keep doing what you like. My grandfather was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in the summer of 2010. At the time the doctors said he only had 6 months to live. Its been over 2 years and the old man is still kicking. He's weaker now, but still. So don't give up and keep giving off some 'smiles' :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words... And it really lifts my spirits to know that I have brought a "Smile" and thus ( a bit at least) have in some small way helped to brighten someone's day...
