Pumpkin Patch continued...

Well just finished tending and watering my pumpkin patch (5:16pm here).... Harvested "Jack" ( I have named only a few of my "gourds"...) fixed a minor irrigation trench  and removed the piles of dead "weeds" and crab-grass that I pulled up late last night ..( as I have said... Me and direct, or prolonged exposure to sunlight is not a good thing)...Now have 6 harvested pumpkins ( most are rather on the "small-side") I will be posting updated pics of these first six and others to follow soon.... Almost forgot to leave you wonderful people with an image ... Here is an animated gif from a late 1920's Disney cartoon...  I use this image as my main screen on my own computer... Hope that you enjoy him as much as I have...

Harvest is nearly upon us    I do believe that since the one pumpkin is "Already Dead" .. Why Not carve him tonight ??? ( and save the seeds to dry...) It was the only one like it that grew... "Smooth and very rounded"... nearly none of the "ribbing" that form on "pumpkin" and "Jack-o-Lantern" types...
 Oh well the seeds may produce part of next year's crop...
